NWEA organises a large number of events throughout the year, both nationally and internationally, to connect members, share knowledge and promote the Dutch wind energy sector (abroad). Participation in the events is usually free of charge or a reduced membership fee applies. In cooperation with DOB Academy, a varied range of courses is offered on various topics relating to the wind energy sector.

The GA takes place twice a year in April and November. At this meeting, the current issues of the association are discussed, and new members are given the opportunity to introduce themselves by giving a short company pitch. Traditionally, the GA is concluded with a networking drinks gathering for all members.
During the year, NWEA organises several meetings aimed at strengthening the network or sharing knowledge. Annually an Offshore and Onshore Wind Energy CEO dinner is organised, by invitation only. In January we organize the New Year’s meeting “Wind in the Netherlands”.
The WindDays event is an annual conference. This event connects stakeholders within the Dutch wind energy sector and, as such, provides an important impulse to the development of onshore and offshore wind energy. WindDay 2020 will take place in The Hague on 17 June. More information can be found on the winddays.nl website.
At major international trade shows and conferences, NWEA organises a Holland pavilion under the name of Dutch Village, together with our partners HHWE, IRO and NMT. In the past three years, more than 100 companies participated in the WindEurope trade exhibition in Amsterdam, the WindEnergy Hamburg and the WindEurope Offshore 2019. Dutch Village at WindEnergy Hamburg is back on the programme for 2020. The latest information on Trade Exhibitions and Conferences can be found here.
During the year, NWEA organises several trade missions aimed at promoting trade and strengthening the international network. Under the umbrella brand of “wind & water works” we usually work together for offshore wind missions with partners HHWE, IRO, NMT and the Dutch government (via RVO, Netherlands Enterprise Agency). The latest information on our trade missions can be found here.
